Cookies & storage

Cookie policy

What cookies we use, why they matter, and how to change your choice

Last updated: 4 June 2026

Key point
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Best Casinos IE uses them to keep the comparison site secure, remember your consent, and — only if you agree — understand how visitors use our pages.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for security, load balancing, and remembering whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. The site cannot function reliably without these.

Performance (optional)

Aggregated analytics showing which articles are read, where errors occur, and how fast pages load. We do not use optional analytics to profile you for unrelated advertising on this site.

Attribution (optional)

When you arrive from an advertisement, we may store campaign identifiers (for example Google Click ID) in first-party cookies or local storage so affiliate partners can credit referrals correctly. Our link-handler script only adjusts exit links to /go/ paths and approved tracker domains — not charity or unrelated external sites.

Session vs persistent cookies

Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain until their expiry date or until you delete them. We keep persistent lifetimes as short as practical for each purpose.

Third-party cookies

Content delivery or analytics providers may set their own cookies when enabled. Those vendors process data under their privacy policies and should respect the consent signal shown on our banner.

How to change your choice

  • Use the cookie banner on your next visit after clearing site data
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
  • Remove the local storage key "bcieCookieConsentV2" to reset our in-site preference

Banner options

Accept all enables optional analytics and attribution cookies described above.

Essential only keeps core features working but limits measurement we use to improve editorial content.

Local storage

Besides cookies, we may store consent status and marketing parameters in local storage for up to 90 days so repeat visits do not lose attribution needed for partner reporting. You can clear this via browser dev tools or site-data settings.
